Services
​With over 20 years’ experience in education, 10 years in Learning and Development, and a background in architecture before that, my work as an instructional designer combines my expertise in learning psychology, performance improvement and project management. Combined, this enables me to deliver solutions that work.

In my previous role as Head of L&D at a children’s education company with over 5,000 employees, I’m used to working at scale, and to reach a wide and diverse audience. I now support businesses across many different industries in achieving their goals and provide solutions to their challenges through innovative learning experience design.

​I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland but work remotely with organisations, wherever they are.
Problem-solving is my core strength - I am most in my element when tackling complex challenges and providing practical, elegant solutions, whilst working collaboratively with you to ensure they align with business objectives and working practices.
Throughout the process, I work closely with stakeholders to understand not just the surface-level need, but the root challenges or ambitions linked to the project. Sometimes that will mean that the work evolves considerably, as we uncover more about the training need and we explore the different formats and possibilities. For example, something that might start as a request for an e-learning module, might end up being a set of job aids and video clips; once I understand what it is you’re trying to achieve, I use my expertise to suggest the learning solutions that might best serve that need.
The result? A learning solution that not only looks good but delivers measurable improvements for your business.
